WINTER CSA IS CLOSED FOR 2025-26

A Share from our Winter CSA

The winter CSA is probably our favorite part of the farming year. It was one of our main goals when starting the farm and while it is challenging, it is so rewarding to have fresh green produce coming out of the high tunnels during the winter months.

What to expect

During the winter we can grow a variety of greens: leaf and head lettuce, arugula, kale, chard, bok choy, mustard, dandelion greens, spinach and more in our unheated high tunnels. We can grow radishes and hakurei turnips and you may also receive storage crops such as potatoes, onions, garlic, beets, brussels sprouts and cabbage. You may see shoots and microgreens such as radish and broccoli microgreens and sunflower and pea shoots and there is always the possibility of some unexpected surprises as we are always trying new items for winter growing.

How it works

CSA pickups occur every two weeks from November 8th-March 14th. It is a Saturday pickup between 10AM-2PM at the farm in Rosendale. There are two different share sizes, described below. We generally try for half of the share to be freshly harvested greens, and half to be storage crops.

What is in a share and what is the cost?

Full Share $700 – A full share contains anywhere from 7-12 items. For example, an item may be 2 lbs of potatoes, a large bag of lettuce, a head of bok choy or ½ pound of spinach. Each share will be boxed up when you arrive and we ask that you bring your own bags to transport your veggies to their new home.

Half Share $375- A half share generally contains 5-7 items, and they are sometimes smaller quantities of each item as compared to the full share.

Unfortunately we have reached the limit for chicken or egg add-ons for this winter.

When using the paypal buttons, please choose the Full or Half share only options, there are no eggs or chickens available.
